This amazing work of typography created in the early 60's once lived on the cafeteria wall of the CBS building. It was discarded in disrepair by CBS management in the early 90's and was acquired by The Center for Design Study, which is raising money for its restoration in hopes of sharing it with the world once again. Lou Dorfsman with his wall in the CBS cafeteria c. 1966 (top) and typography sketches by Herb Lubalin, c. 1965, from a 1975 article in U&lc, vol. 2, no.1. The original wall circa 1966 (top) and details of the gastro-typography.
I find inspiration in art, design, fashion, technology, plants, food, humor and so much more. I soak in my surroundings, create things myself, and envy the creations of others. These are the things I find enviable.
